Wedding season has begun after a gap of 4 months in South India. And i have 16 weddings to attend in a span of 20 days... i.e. from May 16, 2010 to June 6, 2010. I've already missed 3 of them due to hectic schedules and running around on official work. What can i do when work comes first at certain times... My best wishes are always there with everyone... Most of the times, i don't disappoint anyone who expect me...but my preference is always with those who have least attendence where i fill with my presence and personal wishes...
Anyhow, eating at weddings has almost come to a stand still due to ageing... I lost appetite and interest to eat... But weddings are also the times when there is a get-together of known friends [although i keep meeting most of them regularly but its an opportunity for others to meet others here]... I am looking forward to attend few of them... The most common question shot directly on the face by anyone during these meetings is, "when are you getting married?" to which i generally reply, "i still have a lot of time in my hand before i get arrested in the chains of wedding..."
Its all priority.
To some, it is important,
to some, its nothing,
to me, it is a choice.
You marry or you don't, you still live your life.
But the society [if you care] is after you, and i give a damn to such things...ha ha ha
Well, i go to a wedding because a friend expects my presence [not everyone expects with true heart, the heart usually catches these signals...], and i don't like disappointing my friend because i care for that friend...
If you care,
the world is yours,
If you give a damn,
then nothing matters...
Thats Life btw!

small change pal (out of experience ;))
If you care too much,
the world gives you a damn,
If you give a damn (back),
then u start to matter...
(ironically & sadly!!), Thats how Life's become, btw!
oh yeah, you are absolutely right. thanks for adding the right thing here. BTW i am skipping most of the weddings because of the intense heat...
Result after 20 days: Attended 9 weddings, missed 7
