War & Peace?

"Politics is war without bloodshed while war is politics with bloodshed." - Mao

&

"You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war." - Einstein

We have huge defence budgets (USA - $600+ billion dollars, India - $22+ billion dollars, etc...) and we equally talk about world peace...

Irony, Opposites seldom exist!

Maggi Maggi Maggi !!!

Among the many life saving inventions in the last century, Maggi Noodles from Nestle tops the list among the hungry denizens of this planet. Injections when injected into the veins do have an effect instantly and pills if taken would take some more time than injections to work on the body system. But Maggi noodles, a food prepared in just two minutes tackles hunger in mere two minutes. In no time, it douses the fire inside the stomach and cools down the system, satisfying the senses and the unheard cries of the stomach whose repurcussions can be felt from head to the toe, the pain trying to cripple the body is tackled in less than two minutes. This is the power of Maggi, the technological form of the traditional Chinese noodles, the East gelling well with the ever changing West where things happen in an instant. Here's Maggi Noodles! The two minute dish.

I am not promoting Maggi noodles here because i know the importance maggi holds in my life. Every time i feel hungry, i cook maggi. The time when my mom is away, i cook maggi. If my brother feels hungry, i cook maggi. If a friend visits at an odd time and is hungry, i cook maggi. If it is 2 a.m. in the morning and i don't want to disturb my mom, i cook maggi. When i visit a friends place and with less time in hand, then i get to eat maggi. If i am stuck up in a village and cannot eat anything else, i cook maggi. If my five year old niece asks me lets eat something, i cook maggi. If i don't like the breakfast at home [very rarely], i cook maggi. If my mom needs rest from the unending work which comes everyday, the best alternative is maggi. This despite my mom teaching me how to cook and everything, i still insist on eating maggi noodles compared to the usual cooking.

When my friend here who went to Mexico on a project work came online few months back, i asked her what she had for her dinner and she said she had maggi. Yes, we also get maggi in Mexico. I was surprised and also happy. I can also live in Mexico!

It's instant. It is just precooked flour and little ingredients which need to be placed in two cups of hot water on a pan and add the taste maker and in less than two minutes, your maggi noodles is served, ready to eat. And if you are patient enough, then add few vegetables into the boiling water and let it cook and then add maggi and follow the same procedure.

One can experiment with any food in any way but one also has to take enough precautionary measures not to let the ingredients poison the food. Some things do not gel with some other things and the reaction is food poisoning. For example, bitter gourd does not go with milk whereas one can add milk for the taste when cooking snake gourd.

Call it laziness or waste of time or the risk involved or the suppression of hunger in the process of cooking but i never indulge in cooking myself exept maggi noodles....ha ha ha.

Being a spoilt and pampered foodie, i appreciate my mom and her cooking very well. She prepares rice and a curry in less than 15 minutes flat. Now, Nestle cannot compete with my mom or any other mom in the world when it comes to food but Nestle has placed itself safely winning the votes from all the lazies.... usually when mom's are outside home, they sneak in and ring a loud Maggi Maggi Maggi !!! in our ears.

Whether anyone accepts this or not but Maggi is definitely a life saving food [or drug]. Pills also save our lives and Maggi also does the same thing.

P.S: It is all the digestive system which makes things work with ones body. Some children cannot digest Maggi because it is a mix of flour and other stuff, so be carefull with your children's food habits.
